What you get
My presentation/talk/workshop lasts for around 1 hour. In my introduction, I talk about how I got into writing for magazines despite having left school with no qualifications aged 15. I go on to describe to you how easy it can be to get from pen to print. My 'workshop' version includes participant exercises which starts your members on their journey to see their work in print. Finally, I give a 10 to 15 minute opportunity for questions.I can be flexible on time. Want more or less?
I also give out handouts of what I've covered and provide links to example 'Contributors Guielines' and 'Media Packs'. You can access these by clicking here.
Awards:.
2003 'The Slough Mayors Award': Individual Artist of the Year'2023 'The Sandy Lee-Guard Award for Endeavour' by the Slough Writers Group.
Imagine!
Imagine standing in the magazine aisle in W.H.Smith or some other supplier.
Now imagine that there's the magazine that your article is published in amongst hundreds of other magazines.
Now imagine all the retail outlets selling the magazine, and you're in them all. What a feeling!
Yet there's more. Imagine over 100,000 copies of magazines containing YOUR article, just waiting to be read. WOW!
